You will find one of a kind, naturally contorted yamadori that range from 75 to 500+ year's old. Many of the Ponderosa collected will have very twisted trunks with excellent thick, rough, aged bark. Most trees will have great natural Jin and Shari. The deadwood was created by Mother Nature and would take a lifetime to accomplish in a pot. Each tree is unique, and will possess incredible natural traits desirable for bonsai. Trunk size can range between 1 1/2 and 18 inches in diameter. The most commonly collected trees are Ponderosa Pine and Rocky Mountain Juniper. However Mountain Hemlock, Lodge Pole Pine, Engelman Spruce and others are available by request. The trees available by Oregonbonsai.com are healthy trees, and given the proper attention will have no survival issues in a bonsai pot. The Junipers and Ponderosas collected by Oregon Bonsai Farms will be among the finest in the country. They are in very high demand, and sell extremely fast. Due to our vast (and expanding), collecting experience and incredible survival rate, these collected trees are highly sought after by some of the largest names in American Bonsai, and now Europe. As with any bonsai, special care and attention is needed to ensure its survival and optimal health. Typical payment includes sending a check to Oregon Bonsai Farms for the full amount (tree, plus pot if applicable, and shipping charges). Trees are only collected from properly designated areas. We practice Leave No Trace. This means we leave no sign we were ever there. All tree holes are filled in and blended with the surrounding landscape. At no time will we damage the hardscape to remove a tree, those trees are simply left in place. Trees that have obvious signs of bug infestations or poor health are not considered for collection. Only trees that are healthy, pest free, and abundant with great potential for bonsai will be collected. For every tree collected, several hundred or thousands will be passed up. Warranty Information If you are unhappy with your new tree, you can return within 3 days for a refund or credit towards another tree. In this case you will still be responsible for the shipping charges in both directions and it will be your responsibility to properly re-pack the tree in the same containers and in the same manner as originally shipped to you. Note, Oregonbonsai.com will not ship a tree that we feel is not healthy or would not survive the shipping and/or weather in your area. However, since we have no control over what happens upon arrival at its new location it is difficult for us to provide any warranty once the tree is in your care. |
